概要 The purpose of this study is to examine whether and how the height of social anxiety effects verbal expression. It is said that people with high social anxiety tend to avoid social situations because ...they have strong fear of being evaluated by others negatively and often feel terribly uncomfortable with others. In this study, subjects with high/low social anxiety have to explain two topics to a strange listener. Because subjects with high social anxiety are very sensitive to negative evaluations, it was expected that they show different verbal expression in quantity and quality, especially in act of revealing personal information to others, from with low social anxiety. We analyzed their verbal contents at the points of “variety and extent of emotional expression” and “to which part of self the expressed contents are related”. Results suggest that the effect of social anxiety differ according to one's sex. We also examine how impression others have to subjects' verbal expression. As a result, subjects with high social anxiety ware regarded as less familiar.続きを見る
