The purpose of this research was to explain the structure of a notion of news media. 324 subjects completed a questionnaire which measured their notions of news media. Results were as follows.; (1) th...e notion of news media consisted of 2 factors, the “public institution-like character” factor and the “jokerlike character”., (2) the degree of recognition to the “public institution-like character”of the TV news is higher than that of the variety show.; (3) the degree of recognition to the “jokerlike character” of the variety show is higher than that of the TV news.They suggested that the degree of recognition to the “public institution-like character” of news media was important in our accepting news.続きを見る
