概要 |
To examine the effects of the intensity of exercise on mood changes, five healthy male subjects, aged 22+-1 years, were participated in marathon running. The subjects have not been training for marath...on running especially. They chose the Honolulu marathon in Hawaii for this study, because they could ran at their own pace in speed, so that there was not time limits during the running. Heart rate was recorded continuously during running, and the mood states were measured at every 10km from the start, immediately after the finish and 30min after the finish point. The mood states during the running were measured for the evaluation of "Pleasantness", "Relaxation" and "Anxiety", respectively. All subjects were ran in this marathon completely with in the time of 4hrs 35mln-5hrs 44min. The mean heart rates were 159+-6 beats/min, and its values were equivalent to 80+-3% of their maximal heart rates. The "pleasantness" increased during the running in two subjects who ran at the heart rate at anaerobic threshold (AT-HR) as exercise intensity. On the other hand, such a mood changes were not found in other subjects who ran at higher own their AT-HR. In addition, their "pleasantness" decreased during the running and had not been recovered after the finish point. Moreover, the mood states did not change significantly in the subject who ran at the lower AT-HR. These results suggest that the mood changes were influenced by anaerobic threshold as a criterion of exercise intensity in the prolonged running exercise.続きを見る
