概要 |
A cryptographic hash function had been developed since MD4 was proposed by Rivest. In present, U.S standard of a hash function is SHA-l with 160 bits of output length. Also, block cipher using a dedic...ated hash function was proposed by H.Handschuh and D.Naccache. Exactly, they designed block cipher, called SHACAL-l and SHACAL-2, using SHA-l and SHA-256, as a submission to NESSIE (New European Schemes for Signatures Integrity and Encryption). SHACAL-l is a 160-bit block cipher based on the hash standard SHA-1. In 2001, they introduced SHACAL- 2 based on SHA-256. There are cryptographic hash functions that have variable output length such as HAVAL and HAS-V. We proposed hash function with variable output length, namely SHA- V, based on SHA-1 and HAS-V. In this paper, we propose block cipher based on SHA-V, namely SHACAL-V. SHACAL-V as block cipher has variable output word-size, which is 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, 288, and 320-bit. Moreover, we analyze linear and differential attacks on SHACAL-V.続きを見る
