概要 | Serial estimation of white blood cells (WBC), percent. plasma volume change, serum electrolytes (Na, K, Cl), Serum enzymes (CPK, LDH, GOT, GPT) and plasma catecholamines were performed before, during ...and after the minitriathlon race (swimming 1.25km, bicycle 60km, running 12km) and heart rates were assessed by Holter ECG during the race. The results were as follows: (1) WBC was increased 190% immediately after the race. (2) Plasma volume was decreased 6% during the race, while hemodilution was observed after the race. (3) Serum enzymes (CPK, LDH, GOT) were increased 64%, 44%, 37% respectively after the race. (4) Serum K was unchanged immediately after the swimming but increased 23% at the following periods. (5) Plasma noradrenalin and adrenalin were in-creased 470% and 690% respectively immediately after the race. (6) Mean heart rates during the swimming, bicycle and running period were 164/min, 156/min and 167/min respectively. The results suggest. (1) Dynamic water homeostasis, (2) Significant release of enzymes and potassium from the working muscle and (3) Marked sympatho-adrenal response occur during and after the prolonged strenuous exercise.
