A multiplex PCR assay for detection of genes for Staphylococcal enterotoxins A to E (sea, seb, sec, sed, and see) was developed. The multiplex PCR assay combined the primers for sea to see in one set.... Validation of the assay was performed using five enterotoxigenic strains of Staphylococcus aureus. This assy offers a very specif-ic, quick, reliable and inexpensive alternative to conventional PCR assay used in clinical laboratories to identify staphylococcal enterotoxin genes.続きを見る
