A free-descriptive questionnaire survey was conducted to the third grade student nurses (n=117) concerning their anxiety and response to clinical training at the pediatric ward. Student nurses were mo...st frequently concerned with their ability and skills to communicate with the hospitalized children as well as their guardians. As the course progressed, however, they usually became more concerned with the preparation of their study- reports on each patient. This implies that as the actual experience accumulates they usually become more confident of their daily bed-side nursing activities under the guidance and direction of their seniors and teaching staffs. The ability to establish the favorable relationship with sick children as well as their family members and the various ward-staff remains one of the major elements to become a competent nurse.続きを見る
