| 概要 |
This paper deals with the relation between sense and cognition, in order to clarify the transfer of knowledge as a problem in education. It is self-evident that the eyesight of man is the leading part... of cognition and the most useful sense. To see is to know, and to know is to master, and therefore to see is to master. In the Japanese Ianguage, 'Siru' represents both 'Know' and 'master'. Consequently, to know, or knowledge makes reason that is the core of modern philosophy, and moreover it builds up natural science. Wondering about reason, we should read Kant's 'Kritik der reinen Vernunft'. He asked the possibility of man's knowledge and raised the question 'Was kann ich wissen ?'. But he left the solution of problems concerning knowledge and the transfer of knowledge to the coming generation. The modern knowledge rules our school education, especially the whole of the manifest carriculum, so that not only the human relation but also the interaction between man and nature has unmistakably ebbed. These days the education worthy of its name is going to be lost in such a critical condition of knowledge, and therefore we basically need to recompose knowledge in education. For the purpose of this recomposition, the basic point of knowledge should be transferred from the sense of sight to the sense of touch ; from light to darkness.続きを見る
