概要 |
The purpose of this paper is to consider Oe Kenzaburo's temporal consciousness as a basis of his mythological thinking and historical recognition. Oe's works can be divided into three periods from the... viewpoint of his early mythological creation: (I) the decade following his debut in 1957, (II) the late 60's to the 70's, and (III) the 80's up to the present. The change in his temporal consciousness, from liner (I) to circular (II) through to segmental (eschatological time) (III) shows his inclination towards "mythological creation" and also that his temporal consciousness serves as the foundation of his mythological construction of time and space. Finally, I clarify that his consciousness of circular time appears as a retrospective historical recognition, where he implies that the key to the problems of present society lies in the past.続きを見る
