| 概要 |
本稿は，高等教育における教育の成果を測定し，教育活動を点検評価し，そして教育の改善に結びつけていくための方法として，『卒業生調査』を論じる。実際の調査研究事例をもとに，効果的な「成果」検証方法と指標システムの開発とについて検討を行った。特に，他のさまざまの点検評価手法と比較して，取り組むために周到な準備（個人情報保護法への対応なども含めて）が求められるが，その分，点検・評価から教育改善へと進むため...の確実・有益な情報となることを論じた。２つの卒業生調査研究の事例（日欧大卒調査，九州の短大調査）をもとに，卒業生調査を通して各大学・短大が説明責任を果たすとともに，「若者の社会的自立」にむけての問題の把握，改善へのアプローチの検討にもつながっていくことが確認された。特に，こうした点検評価，教育改善が実際に教育活動に直接関わる関係者によって発見され，また大学・短大を取り囲むステークホルダーとともにそれが認識されることによって，改善への具体的な行動計画につながっていくことが示された。
This paper discusses graduate survey as a method measuring the outcome of higher education, assessing pedagogical provisions and activities, and planning future improvements and developments in each higher education institution. It is clearly found that the method of graduate survey in mid-term span is one of the most relevant approaches for the outcome assessment, among various methods including student evaluation of class, any performance measures at the time of graduation, internal rate of return in education and so on. Two examples of large graduate survey projects, i.e. a large comparative study in Europe and Japan, and a collaborative study of junior colleges in Kyushu, are examined on these methodologies, findings and implications. Some further measures reguired to implement a graduate survey, such as management of privacy of graduates related with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, are also discussed.続きを見る
