| Abstract |
On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center buildings in New York collapsed due to suicide attacks which were carried out using two hijacked airplanes. In the following month of October, the United ...States sent soldiers to Afghanistan and toppled the Taliban regime. As the American intervention and chaos continued on the ground, Dr. Tetsu Nakamura constructed the 25.5 km Ab-e Marwarid Canal (2003 to 2010) so that refugees and crop farmers would be able to live on their own and subsequently brought back to life roughly 16,500 hectares of cultivated land through continuous maintenance and branch canal construction.show more
