Abstract 蛸壺である。丸底コップ形で口縁に近い側壁に円形の小孔がある。この種の蛸壺は北部九州では弥生時代末~古墳時代前期に見られる。中山先生が『考古学』3巻1号「一種の有孔小土器」論文(1932)で、この種土器の溶解器説に反対して、海底から多く発見されることを根拠に蛸壺と推定した。本品の内部には、中に入り込み出られなくなった牡蠣の貝殻が残る。 岩永2008(博物館報告)
Octopus pot (with o...yster shells) This is an octopus pot. It has a round bottom, shaped like a cup, and a circular small hole on the side wall near the rim. This kind of octopus pots was found in the northern part of Kyushu from the late Yayoi period to the early Kofun period. Dr. Nakayama, in the paper “Archeology” Vol. 3 No. 1, “A kind of perforated small earthenware” (1932), opposing the theory that this kind of earthenware were dissolver , and estimated them to be octopus pots since many were found on the seabed.
