| Abstract | 「朝鮮八道地図」 この地図は長崎県対馬下県郡厳原町の蕃建（しげたて）家に伝来していたもの。この家は、対馬藩主宗義蕃（l752～1762在位）から分かれた家柄であるので、対馬藩が所蔵していた地図であったであろう。朝鮮半島のみならず、その北方の遼東から黒竜江までを描写していることが、本図の特徴である。成立時期は、朝鮮の中宗8年（1513）～同34年（1539）までの26年間と推定されている。［長正統（お...さまさのり）「内閣文庫所蔵「朝鮮国図」およびその諸本についての研究」（『史淵』第119輯 昭和57年3月）］ 同種の地図は、日本内閣文庫と韓国国史編纂委員会に所蔵されており、計3本である。本地図は江戸時代から明治にかけて日本各地で制作された地図の原型をなすものの一つである。江戸時代の地理的世界観を知る上で、この地図の存在は貴重である。なお、地図を見ると、八道ごとに色分けされており、例えば「赤国」（全羅道）、「白国」（慶尚道）などと記載されている。 そうした地名の呼び方は、日本では文禄・慶長の役にしばしば使用されたが、それはこうした地図の記載方法に由来するとも推定されよう。 松原孝俊2002（第43回中央図書館貴重文物展観図録） “Map of Eight Provinces of Korea” This map was handed down to the Shigetate family in Izuhara-cho Shimoagata-gun Nagasaki Tsushima. This was a house separated from the Tsushima daimyo, Sō Yoshishige (1752–1762), so it could have been a map owned by the Tsushima domain. A characteristic of this map is that it depicts not just the Korean Peninsula but from the Liaodong Peninsula in the north to Heilongjiang. The period of establishment is estimated to be 26 years from 1513 to 1539. “Osa Masanori ‘Cabinet Library Collection’ ‘Korean National Map’ and Research on the Various Books” (Journal of History (Shien) No. 119 March 1982) Similar maps are in the Japanese Cabinet Library and the Korean National History Compilation Committee, which total to three. This is one of the prototypes of the maps produced in various parts of Japan between the Edo and the Meiji period. Its existence is valuable for understanding the geographical worldview during the Edo period. Observing closely, the map is color-coded for each of the eight provinces Red (Jeolla-do), White (Gyeongsang-Do). The naming of places is presumed to be from the descriptions of maps and was often used during the Bunroku and the Keicho invasions.show more |
