| Abstract | 「アジア新図」 N.フィシェル（1618～79頃） 1657年 アムステルダム オランダの地図製作者フィシェルのこの地図では、日本とその周辺はテイセラの日本図によっている。アメリカ大陸の陸地とアジアの間には、「アニアン」という海峡が記されているが、これは1560年代からのヨーロッパ製の地図に登場してくる想像上の産物である。すなわちフィシェルの頃にも、アメリカとアジアの間がどうなっているのかは未だ解...明されてはいなかった。なお、中国には「万里の長城」が描かれている。 小野菊雄2002（第43回中央図書館貴重文物展観図録） “New Map of Asia” N. The Strait of “Anian” appears between the landmasses of the Americas and Asia, a mythical strait that appears on European maps from the 1560s.
