Abstract As is generally known, it was abolished, and the technical Special School was promoted to a university by higher education reform after the war. But, the viewpoint to examine a problem and the signifi...cance that the abolition of a high technical school and promotion to a university brought postwar higher education has been overlooked. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the structure of the theory about industrial education and higher education over the abolition of special school in the post war higher education reform, by the focusing on the education complete reform committee and higher technical special school. Through this study, I want to examine that the promotion to university and the abolition of special school led to problems and significances. Therefore, I paid my attention to "SANKEIKAI" which were a principal meeting organization of a government establishment high technical school in this study. And I examined from the meeting minutes of SANKEIKAI what the thing which I took the abolition of a high technical school and promotion to a university, and a high technical school assumed a problem was. As a result, the following many points became clear. The university promotion was significant, but brought a problem of lack of a training organization of a nucleus engineer for a high technical school. Therefore the high technical school suggested the establishment of "a low-class tech" as the engine which trained mainly a nucleus engineer.show more
