概要 |
This study is focused on the investigation of superior AC (activated carbon) for the adsorptive removal of chloroform in water. The modification of commercially available AC to achieve more efficient ...removal of chloroform was also carried out to find the correlation between adsorptive ability and the structure of AC. Among the ACs used in the present study, the resin based AC of Kanebou showed the highest ability, indicating the important role of the mesopore in AC. The preheat-treatment and the surface oxidation by H_2O_2 followed by the ultrasonic radiation were found effective to improve the adsorptive ability of as-received AC. The mechanism of adsorption of chloroform in water by AC was discussed in terms of pore size and pore surface structure.続きを見る
