This study reviews how transport infrastructure, especially rural roads, improves supply chain performance and economic development in developing regions. The literature shows efficient systems cut lo...gistics costs and time, streamline flows from production to markets, integrate rural areas into national and international markets, and expand access to services. Among six themes explored, supply chain management and sustainable transport infrastructure emerge as prominent research trends. Thus, the recommended future work is to develop multidimensional models, prioritize sustainable practices, and adopt advanced technologies, including recycled materials and smart transport systems, supported by multidisciplinary collaboration across engineering, environmental science, IT, economics, and public policy.続きを見る
