The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University was established in 1954. The official university history has a general view that the department was not established by develop...ing the Chair of Architecture in Kyushu Imperial University. This study points out that the department inherited the educational resources of the chair in the following two respects. The first is the collection of books. The chair’s library was an important resource in fulfilling the requirements of the Ministry of Education. The second is the faculty members. In particular, Yoshikatsu Tsuboi, who had been an assistant professor of the chair and an architect of the Kyushu Imperial University, played an important role at the establishment.続きを見る
