| 概要 |
This paper aims to report the online debate activities and the improvement of students’ English writing ability and generic skills through these activities. Participants are 222 students in 3rd grade ...who belong to departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, intelligent system engineering, chemical and biological engineering, and business administration of National Institute of Technology, Ube College. They learned and participated in debates from home through Teams for lectures in Microsoft Office 365. They learned what is and how to debate in the 1st and 2nd online lectures. From the 3rd to 8th lectures, they held meetings by themselves to make their argument, Q&A, and rebuttals using a lot of worksheets attached with many examples. They uploaded them to another Team for online debate every time. This is the method of the online debate using Microsoft Teams. Finally, they submitted the reports that reviewed their debate competition as self-judgments. From these activities, they could improve their English writing ability by using many worksheets and generic skills by holding meetings with visualizing their argument from worksheets.続きを見る
