概要 |
A hydrodynamic model has been applied to Hakata Bay, in the northern part of Kyushu, Japan. The model is a semi-implicit finite element model that uses a staggered grid for the resolution of hydrodyna...mic quantities. The propagation of the tidal wave and the circulation in the bay has been reproduced. The computed velocity field has been compared to available measurements and shows a good agreement with the data. Tide induced residual currents and fluxes across the lagoon-sea interface have been computed. Finally residence times are estimated inside the bay. The results are then compared to a situation prior to the construction of a newly build artificial island. Results indicate that the construction of the reclamation area has not changed the overall dynamics of Hakata Bay. Except some local effects close to the newly built island the residual currents and residence times are nearly identical to a situation before the construction of the island.続きを見る
