Abstract |
The purpose of the present study was to obtain the basic data on domestic American football players. Thirty-six players were evaluated for lower limb muscular strength, physical and performance charac...teristics in Kyushu collegiate American football league. All results were compared Division I (high-ranking) with Division II (low-ranking). They reflects significant differences in the lower limb muscular strength (eccentric and concentric peak torque value adjusted for body weight), the physical and performance variables. The level of competition was higher at the Division I level and superior size, speed and strength were valued attributes. So it would be suggested effectiveness and importance of strength program on American football players.show more
