Abstract Anorexia nervosa may be a life threatenings psychiatric conditions and this syndrome result from major disturbances of body image and an almost in curable fear of gaining weight. It is a disorder reco...gnized in the nineteeth century by Gull W(1968) and Laseque EC(1873) which manifested predominantly by weight loss, amenorrhea, and eating disoders occurring almost in adolescent and young women of higher socioeconomic status. It has been attributed to a psychiatric disturbance, and endocrine-metabolic disorder or a combination of the two conditions. The absence of other medical and psychiatric disease is crucial in making a diagnosis. At present, most physicians agree that the diagnosis must be made on a psychiatric basis. In this report, we presented two experienced cases with unique features and reviewed the clinical manifestations of this syndrome.show more
