This paper presents an overview of practical research on psychological education programs in Japanese junior high schools from January 2010 to the end of July 2021. The total number of papers collected was 57. The papers included 19 on stress management education, 17 on social skills training, 8 on structured group encounters, 6 on peer support, 4 on assertion training, and 3 on anger management. Most of the studies were conducted on a class basis, but some were conducted on small groups. In each of the practical studies, issues in research design and analysis were found. There was some overlap in the content of implementation between the various fields of psychological education, and it would be desirable to sort out the similarities and differences of each field.
