In this paper, the author discussed the procedure of a task of relaxation for the trunk in the twisting posture, which is generally adopted in Dohsahou for the person with cerebral palsy. Overviewing the differences of the structures of thoracic and lumbar vertebrae, the features of the rotation of trunk observed in the person with cerebral palsy were discussed. In addition, from the viewpoint of motor-action-linkage, some necessary motorassisting locations and strategies for the control-focusing in this task was proposed. For making the trainer’s Dohsa-hou techniques effective and experientially rational for the trainee her/himself, the author summarized it is useful and indispensable that Dohsa-hou-trainers learn and have the knowledge of main-muscle’s linkages relating to the movement of twisting the trunk, and also discussed that Trainers’ becoming able to presume both of the psychological viewpoint and kinetic knowledge are important and necessary in carrying out the rehabilitation for the trainees themselves.
