概要 |
Recently, approaches have been developed to improve athletic performance based on neuroscientific foundations by focusing on executive functions. This study investigated Japanese futsal, which require...s players to develop the mind and improve information processing abilities. In Study 1, we focused on executive functions as the basis for scoring goals and measured its functions as well as related variables. Based on the results of Study 1, in Study 2, we conducted interviews with players that have superior executive functions by inquiring about what was in their mind when they played futsal, which indicated correlations between executive functions and performance as suggested by previous studies. The approaches and thinking of players with superior executive functions might suggest practical futsal techniques. However, this study was cross-sectional and examined correlations among variables. It is suggested that future studies should adopt a longitudinal study design and present findings useful for coaching.続きを見る
