| Abstract |
Yaodong is developed from primitive cave dwellings and widely spread over the cold and dry areas, of which the Loess Plateau is a typical example. Yaodongs in Mizhi ancient city are well preserved and... still used as residential areas. With the change of social system and the development of economy in history, Yaodong has developed from the cliffside type into the independent type which is built with stone, however after 1965, brick Yaodong has been built there. This paper is trying to figure out the changing process of Yaodong dwelling, especially focusing on the construction process and space composition and analysis the establishment process of Yaodong siheyuan there.show more
