| Abstract |
This paper aimed to discuss about the methodology of the post-disaster studies in architectural planning. It is well known that the post-disaster studies must have some relations to social practices o...f improvement that will be able to provide the future refugees better conditions of their evacuation life. In this paper, we reviewed the methodology called as the Disaster Ethnography proposed after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and pointed out that this methodology succeeded in social practice but did not in discribing the ethnography. In addition, we reviewed the current point of view of post-disaster studies in architecutural plannning so that we catch the methodology of it to reconsider the way of reconstruction, that we should call Ethnographic Approach.show more
