概要 The Akiyoshi limestone Group herein discussed is widely exposed in the Shishidedai area near the northeastern margin of the Akiyoshi limestone plateau. It is about 630m in the total thickness and rang...es from the Lower Carboniferous up to the Lower Permian. It is composed of the olivine basaltic tuffs and tuff breccias of about 150m thick near the lowest part and the limestones of about 500m thick on the volcaniclastic rocks. The upper part of the volcaniclastic rocks and the limestones abundantly include many kinds of fossils. Based on them the following 10 fossil zones were discriminated in ascending order: Delepinea sinuata zone, Clisiophyllum awa atetsuense zone, Millerella yowarensis zone, Pseudostaff ella antiqua zone, Profusulinella beppensis zone, Akiyoshiella ozawai zone, Fusulinella biconica zone, Beedeina akiyoshiensis zone, Triticites simplex zone, and Pseudofusulina vulgaris zone. The geologic age of the Millerella yowarensis zone, the lowest part of the fusulininan zones, is probably the Late Visean. Those of the Clisiophyllum awa atetsuense zone and the Delepinea sinuata zone are respectively the Medial Visean and Early Visean in the European and Russian standard. In the Akiyoshi district the volcaniclastic rocks are most predominantly developed in this area, often including large or even huge volcanic breccias of olivine basalt. These thick volcaniclastic rocks are considered to be deposited close to a submarine volcanic crater.続きを見る
