宮崎県見立鉱山の大吹再結晶石灰岩 : とくに方解石の格子常数について

概要 The Obuki marble in the Mitate mine of central Kyushu is bounded on the north side by the Mitate thrusting fault being inclined to south, and on the south side by a contact with the Tertiary granite a...nd granite-porphyry. It is an intensely folded and sheared marble. Ten specimens of the marble were chemically analyzed and the lattice constants of calcites were derived by the least squared method from X-ray powder data. The marble occurred near the contact of granite contains more than 1. 4 wt. % MgO, being associated with dolomite. By means of extrapolation of the equilibrium line between magnesian calcite and dolomite + magnesian calcite (GRAF and GOLDSMITH, 1955), the recrystallization temperature of the marble was estimated to be about 300°C. The specimens containing less than 1. 4% MgO are not associated with dolomite, and the magnesian calcite has a little smaller lattice than that of synthetics with the identical composition. Also, a skyblue marble like the Crestmore of California was found in the Obuki marble. It consists of only magnesian calcite, of which the lattice is unusually large compared with the ordinary one. These data are considered to indicate that there is a residual strain which was produced in recrystallization and deformation of the marble.続きを見る
