概要 It has been revealed that the Mg-rich clay in the altered wall rocks of the gypsum deposits of the Wanibuchi mine consists of Mg-chlorite and interstratified Mg-chloritesaponite with various ratios (1...:0 to 0. 6:0. 4) of the component layers. Talc is often associated with the interstratified Mg-chlorite-saponite. Local occurrences of sericite, interstratified sericite-montmorillonite, and chrysotile are noted. Two Mg-chlorites and two interstratified minerals of Mg-chlorite-saponite are described using x-ray, differential thermal, infrared, and chemical analyses. The changes of x-ray patterns of the interstratified Mg-saponite on solvation, K-saturation, and heating indicate the presence of saponite layer forming an interstratified structure with Mg-chlorite layer, both vertically and laterally.続きを見る
