Abstract |
By courtesy of Dr. J. A. JELETZKY, who visited Japan in 1976, two sets of plaster casts of ammonoids were donated to Kyushu University from the Geological Survey of Canada. One is those from the Haida... Formation (Albian) described and figured by McLEARN (1972) and the other is those from the Nanaimo Group (Santonian, Campanian and Lower Maastrichtian) described and illustrated by USHER (1952). They are listed below. In additon to them a plastercast of an aberrant ammonite donated by courtesy of Professor MALLORY is indicated at the end of the list. Short comments may be given on some species. I very much appreciate the kindness of Dr. JELETZKY and Professor MALLORY for these scientifically valuable gifts.show more
