By courtesy of Dr. J.M. KENNEDY and Dr. J. A. JELETZKY, who visited Japan in 1976, two sets of plaster casts of inoceramids were donated to Kyushu University from the University Museum of Oxford and t...he Geological Survey of Canada. One is the British Museum (N. H.) collection of Inoceramus described by Woods (1911-12) and the other is the GSC one illustrated by JELETZKY (1970) and DOUGLAS (1942). In addition another set of plaster casts were donated to Kyushu University by Dr. M. Noda, on the basis of the specimens from Madagascar recently described by NODA and KANIE (1978). All of these specimens are listed in Table 1, with some remarks at the end of each item, if necessary. I very much appreciate the kindness of Drs. KENNEDY, JELETZKY and NODA for these scientifically valuable gifts.show more
