Abstract his paper considers how "Sikisankon" was introduced and practiced as the feasting ceremony of Simazu clan in the Sengoku Period. This study is analized by using the diary written by Uwai Kakuken, a va...ssal of Simazu clan, and arcaeological findings. The following are the results of this study:
1) a. "Sikisankon" was introduced in the Sengoku Period as a Samurai ceremony.
b. Simazu clan introduced "Sikisankon" in a different way from other Japanese feudal lords. I appreciate this difference as the identity of Simazu clan.
2) "Sikisankon" was performed widely among different social classes in various forms.
