| 概要 | In order to create a clear picture about the usage of the Japanese and Chinese positive politeness strategies for smoother communication in both languages, an interview program on TV was compared base...d on the politeness theory developed by Brown and Levinson. The findings are, Like English the structure of positive and negative politeness in Chinese is clearly divided into two categories, as mentioned in previous well-known works by Brown and Levinson. On the other hand, this research shows that in Japanese the positive and negative politeness strategies are combined into a complex politeness strategy. Also based on the ideas developed by Usami (2001) it is thought that politeness in Japanese changes to positive politeness.続きを見る |
