| Abstract | Characteristic imaging findings, diagnostic pitfalls, and differential diagnoses of cystic lesions of the pancreas were described. It is important not to mischaracterize branch duct intraductal papill...ary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) as serous cystic neoplasm (SCN). In addition, care should be taken for the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma concomitant with IPMN, especially for follow-up cases. Furthermore, the radiological differential diagnosis between mucinous cystic neoplasm (MCN) and non-neoplastic pancreatic cysts such as lymphoepithelial cyst and epidermoid cyst may not be straightforward because imaging findings overlap.show more |
