Abstract	Aquifer thermal storage system (ATSS) is widely used mainly in Europe and USA. Recently, it is being introduced in Japan. In this paper, we examined the efficient operation method of ATSS by comparing... it with the water them祖1storage system using simulation. As a result, it was found that it is effective to operate ATSS in combination with a precooling coil. When ATSS is combined with a pre-cooling coil and the thermal storage temperature is raised to 14 °C, power consumption is reduced by about 20% compared to the water thermal storage systemshow more
