This paper is a case of the present situation of the hilly and mountainous areas in Fukuoka city, which are socio-economic difficulty. The result from the case study analysis provides us the meaningful conclusions as follows: 1.The land adjustment of the fragmental small paddy fields is essential for the revitalization of these areas. 2.The governmental providing of the direct payments for the compensation for disadvantages in agricultural production conditions in such areas can be appraised as a certain support to maintain productive activities. 3.Farmer's market in the mountainous area can provide opportunities to get money for the various groups of farmers, which include the aged or part-time farmers.
