The Analysis of the Process Records by the First-Year Nurse Students in Fundamental Practice : Centering around Their Unsuccessful Experiences in Communication

Abstract We analyzed 47 unsuccessful experiences in communication out of 77 process records by the first-year nurse students in fundamental nursing practice. The results were as follows; 1) The nurse students ...tend to hesitate to communicate with their patients because of their concern and presumption, 2)they speak rather than listen to their patients when they are faced with the unfavorable topics. The teaching staffs should be qualified to be able to put student's thought into words by giving the appropriate instruction and guidance at the site of their unsuccessful experiences in communication.
初回基礎看護実習における看護学生のプロセスレコード77件中コミュニケーションのつまづき場面47件について,その要因と特徴を患者と看護学生の視点から分析し,以下の結果を得た。1)看護学生は患者への気遣いや推測から自らの発言を制限し,患者への意思伝達が困難になっている。2)対応困難な話題に関して,看護学生は聞くよりも何か発言しようとする傾向にある。これらの結果から,対応困難なコミュニケーション場面に出会った看護学生に対して,指導者に求められることは,その場での適切な事後指導と,学生の思いを表現できる教育的思慮深さであることを考察した。
