Abstract We measured serum uric acid levels in Yusho sufferers annually from 2007 to 2012 in Nagasaki prefecture. We observed an increased rate of serum uric acid levels in 38.2% of the male and 5.5% of the fe...male sufferers. There was no relation among serum uric acid value, Body Mass Index, liver function, blood polychlorinated biphenyls and hypersensitive C reactive protein. We conclude that it is unclear if blood polychlorinated biphenyls may play a role in the increase of serum uric acid levels in Yusho sufferers.show more
