Abstract |
Assessments of attentional function play an important role in diagnosis and treatment for psychotic disorder (e. g. depression, anxiety disorder, dementia and developmental disorder). First, we review...ed studies that investigated the Stroop task and the emotional-Stroop task as clinical measure of attentional functions. Those studies fell roughly into two points of view; Cognitive psychological approach and psychotic physiological approach. We suggested, comprehensive interpretation of these two type results. Second, we reviewed studies that examined using Stroop and reverse-Stroop interference tasks. We considered neural basis and attentional process of the Stroop and Reverse-Stroop Test, which used matching tasks, produced by Hakoda and Sasaki (1990). Finally, we argued that advantage of the Stroop and Reverse-Stroop Test in clinical assessments of attentional function.show more
