Abstract |
Based on the material kept at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D. C., seven new species of Strepsiptera, Mengenilla orientalis, Stichotrema ceylonense, S. ambiguum, S. krombeini, S. simile, S.... minor and Tridactylophagus ceylonensis, are de-scribed from Sri Lanka. A species of Paraxenos is also recorded. All of these genera, i. e., Mengenilla, Stichotrema, Paraxenos and Tridactylophagus, are recorded from Sri Lanka for the first time.show more
