Abstract |
This study proposed three research questions to examine how university students’ capture of psychological distance with their parents changes. We implemented a Sociodrama that allowed us to examine th...e diversity of parent-child relationships. To measure the psychological distance before and after experiencing the Sociodrama, we used an Interpersonal Relationship Image Diagram. We grouped by the length of psychological distance between students and parents, which is the length before experiencing Sociodrama. Results indicated changes in the psychological distance between students and their parents after the Sociodrama experience, and it showed that the way of change varies depending on the group’s difference; thus, supporting one of the research questions. Therefore, it was shown that the way in which awareness and insight after drama experience differ is due to differences in parental ways of understanding before drama experience. And this also involves the difference experiences in the experiences of the actors in the Sociodrama or the looking at the drama.show more
