| 概要 | Hematopoiesis is a precisely regulated process in which hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) undergo proliferation and differentiation to produce all types of blood cells, while maintaining self-renewal. B...ased on prospective isolation of lineage-restricted progenitors, a hierarchical hematopoietic development with myeloid and lymphoid bifurcation has been proposed. In this article, I will review the current models of lineage commitment and self-renewal of hematopoiesis from the viewpoint of gene regulation, especially by the regulations of transcriptional factors. In addition, I will show the data that the expression of Notch1 is suppressed at the post-transcriptional level in HSCs and is relieved in thymic environment, which may control T lymphoid lineage commitment. Recent progress in the regulations of self-renewal and differentiation of HSC will provide insights into an important aspect of stem cell biology as well as hematopoiesis.続きを見る |
