Abstract | The Bengal region, formerly the British colony, has been decreasing colonial historical buildings due to the subsequent rapid economic development. Unlike monumental buildings, buildings such as house...s and shops did not appreciate their role in cultural history, but to understand regional culture based on the historical context form the British colonial period. One problem with these buildings is that there are no document records remaining, including drawings. The purpose of this report was to confirm the year of manufacture of steel beams used in existing British colonial buildings in Panam Nagar, Chittagong and Kolkata, while using catalogs from British steel companies, and to accumulate data on the use of the steel frame including the iron structure part sequentially.show more |
