Dissociative experiences are observed in not only psychopathological conditions but also normal healthy conditions in a daily life. From a viewpoint of the continuity of dissociative experiences, this... study examined the frequency of each dissociative experience in a daily life of normal healthy young adults by using the Dissociative Experiences Scale-II (DES-II). The DES-II item 2, 15 and17(Immersive experience) were most frequently experienced. Moreover, the item 14, 20 and 23, which are associated with vivid memory and self-immersion, were recognized as healthy and necessary. In contrast, the item 4, 5 and 11, which are related to dissociative amnesia or dissociative identity disorder, were rarely experienced even in the group of higher scores of the DES-II. These results suggest that some dissociate experiences in a daily life may have the positive effect on mental conditions of normal healthy young adults.続きを見る
