概要 |
This research explored self-expression in young adulthood and middle-age, using the viewpoint of interpersonal relationships “Uchi,” “Soto,” and “Yoso.” Young adults and middle-aged people( N=270) com...pleted a questionnaire. The results of factor analysis of the self-expression scale revealed three factors labeled as “expression of favorable intention,” “expression of intention based on belief,” “expression of feelings of difficulty.” Moreover, in young adulthood, a high degree of self-expression was associated with the “expression of favorable intention” factor( in the order of “Soto,” “Uchi,” and “Yoso”), and with the, “expression of intention based on belief” factor( in the order of “Uchi,” “Soto,” and “Yoso”), whereas the “expression of feelings of difficulty” factor showed the lowest extent of “Yoso” self-expression. On the other hand, in middle age, self-expression was high, regardless of self-expression content (in the order of “Uchi,” “Soto,” and “Yoso”). These results indicated differences in people’s self-expression in young adulthood and middle age.続きを見る
