Abstract In the current paper, the studies are discussed from the perspective of posttraumatic stress disorder( PTSD), and are coordinated by three types; sibling development of PTSD, influence that leads sibl...ings to become donors, and the situation of sibling support. Through coordination of the trends found within the studies, the future of study subjects is examined. In addition, PTSD in childhood cancer patients and parents is also explored. From the 2000s, a demand for an improvement in childhood intervention and the importance of psychological care, including care for families, has been discussed in the pediatric field( e.g. Nagata et.al, 2015). Although analysis of the demands of supporting siblings is needed, it is clear that studies concerning PTSD in siblings are not sufficient. Therefore, the current paper proposes that it is necessary to study the psychological problems of siblings of childhood cancer patients, with an emphasis on the concept of PTSD. In this study, the theory which is based on DSM- Ⅳ -TR instead of DSM-5 is employed as PTSD.show more
