概要 |
Although client-therapist relationship is a crucial factor in psychotherapy, the therapist’s specific behavior in the initial phases of psychotherapy and its effects on relationship formation has not ...been sufficiently researched. We therefore chose to examine the following research question: “How do psychological clinicians behave in developing initial relationships in psychotherapy?” A total of 28 psychological clinicians were interviewed. The KJ method was applied to the interview protocol. As a result, 12 categories were extracted. Of these, four or five categories each were assigned to one of two major categories, “the attitude of going along with the client” and “the therapist’s intervention technique.” This study identified several future topics for discussion about methodology, but also examined how aspects of the therapist’s behavior play a role in the development of therapeutic relationships.続きを見る
