Abstract |
This study focused on middle-aged couples, and considered that middle-aged couples’ marital satisfaction was related with their original families’ relationships and functions. Questionnaire date from ...153 couples was analyzed, and then it was identified 3 factors of original families’ relationships with middle-aged couples, 1)intimate and opened relationships, 2)conflictive and closed relationships, 3)negative and opposed relationships between spouses and their original families, moreover 3 factors of original families’ functions with middle-aged couples, 1)intimate and sympathetic communications, 2)flexible correspondences to a change in original families, 3)free self-assertions and intercommunications in their original families. In addition, it showed that the recognition of couples to relationships and functions was different between husbands and wives, and it was possible to affect middle-aged couples’ marital satisfaction. These results indicates that it was an important viewpoint of figuring out relationships and functions between middle-aged couples and their original families for understanding the development of middle-aged couples and families.show more
