Notes	1)The Helminthosporium disease lesion of rice leaf will be enlarged to a peculiar ring spot in a few days, if the diseased rice seeding is treated with ether vapor for 24 hours. 2) It was found from patho-histologic observation that the actual invasion of mycelium upon the outer tissue of the original lesion is a more essential factor in comparison with the toxic pre-effects of this fungus upon the development of this lesion. 3) Mycelial invasion were favourably proceeded through the part of vascular bundle of rice leaf in the case of long axis of lesion and through the part of vascular bundle branch in the case of short axis respectively.
Notes	既に筆者は稲胡麻葉枯病に罹病している稲苗をエーテル処理すれば，その病斑が著しく拡大することを認めた．叉この際，本病菌の毒素が病斑拡大において果す役割は大したものでなく，菌体の病斑外組織への積局的な侵害に負う所大なるものがあるのではないかと推察した．本報文では，以上の推察を確めるために，叉病斑拡大に際して寄主体組織がどのような関係にあるかを観察した結果を報告し，大方の御批判をまつ次第である．
